SFP-50G-SR-S Overview
The Cisco SFP-50G-SR-S is a 50GBASE pluggable optics module designed for high-speed 25Gbps or 50Gbps connectivity over multimode fiber. This hot-swappable SFP56 transceiver supports link lengths up to 100m, providing a flexible solution for 50G and 25G links between top-of-rack switches.
With support for OM3, OM4, and OM5 multimode fiber, the SFP-50G-SR-S can utilize existing MMF cabling for 50G migration from 10G or 25G networks. The module is compatible with a wide range of Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches using VCSEL technology for low power, low cost 50G connections.
The SFP-50G-SR-S simplifies deployment of 50GBASE-SR connectivity, backward-compatible with 10 and 25G ports for flexible network upgrades. It delivers trouble-free support for high density data center switches and routers.
