GLC-LH-SMD Overview
The Cisco 1000BASE-LX/LH SFP module (GLC-LH-SMD) provides Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over single-mode and multimode fiber cabling. It is compatible with the 1000BASE-LX/LH standard, operating at a wavelength of 1310 nm.
The Cisco GLC-LH-SMD module supports distances up to 10 km on single-mode fiber and 550 m on multimode fiber. It features digital optical monitoring capability to provide real-time parameters such as optical output power, temperature, etc.
With its hot-swappable, compact design and low power use, the Cisco 1000BASE-LX/LH SFP module works reliably across Cisco routers, switches, and other networking platforms to deliver long-reach Gigabit fiber connectivity.
