Overview
The Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Type 4 Fan Module (FAN-T4-R) is a critical component that provides front-to-back forced air cooling through supported Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series switch models. The fan module contains variable-speed fans and inserts into dedicated chassis slots to maintain proper airflow and cooling.
The Cisco FAN-T4-R utilizes a hot-swappable design so it can be easily replaced in the event of fan failure. It provides LED indicators for status and health monitoring. The fan speed automatically adjusts based on the internal temperature of the switch.
Key Features
- Hot-swappable fan module design
- Contains 1 variable-speed fan per module
- Front-to-back airflow direction
