The Cisco CWDM-SFP10G-1490 is a 10 Gigabit Ethernet coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) small form-factor pluggable (SFP+) transceiver module. It operates at the 1490nm wavelength and allows transport of 10GbE signals up to 40km over standard single-mode fiber (SMF).
The CWDM-SFP10G-1490 utilizes a dual LC connector interface and plugs into any Cisco SFP+ port, providing a convenient and cost-effective solution for 10GbE links in metro, access and data center networks. Its extended reach makes it ideal for campus backbones, ISP peering and data center interconnects.
With its CWDM capability, the module enables multiplexing of up to 18 channels on a single fiber pair, delivering high capacity and scalability in fiber-constrained environments. The CWDM-SFP10G-1490 can be combined with other CWDM wavelengths for increased bandwidth per fiber strand.
