CPAK-10X10G-ERL Overview
The Cisco CPAK-10X10G-ERL module supports 10 x 10Gbps Ethernet over 25km single-mode fiber links. It enables breakout connectivity from a 100Gbps CPAK port to 10 separate 10GBASE-ER interfaces.
This 10 x 10G ERL module multiplexes the 10GbE signals onto different wavelengths ranging from 1530-1565nm for transport over long reach optical links. It utilizes parallel 24 fiber ribbon cables and MPO/MTP connectors.
The CPAK-10X10G-ERL allows seamless upgrade from 10Gbps to 100Gbps capacity while reusing directly compatible 10G optical cabling plants. Its small CPAK footprint provides high density aggregation.
