CMICR-4PS Overview
The Cisco Catalyst Micro Switch CMICR-4PS is designed for fiber-to-the-desk (FTTx) deployments, allowing customers to eliminate IDF closets and conserve space, energy, and cabling costs. With its small fanless form factor, the CMICR-4PS enables silent operation ideal for open workspaces. It provides 4 PoE+ ports with 65W power budget and 2 Gigabit Ethernet SFP uplinks. The CMICR-4PS ships with the LAN Lite feature set of Cisco IOS Software. Key features include perpetual PoE, Fast PoE, flexible mounting options, enhanced limited lifetime warranty, and support for Cisco DNA for automated deployments.
The Cisco CMICR-4PS eliminates the need for an intermediate distribution frame on each floor by taking power from an AC/DC adapter and guaranteeing Power over Ethernet Plus on all ports. It supports advanced capabilities like CoAP proxy to enable IoT devices and hibernate/deep sleep modes for power savings. The switch can be managed using Cisco Prime Infrastructure or DNA Center for provisioning, monitoring and troubleshooting.
