It brings carrier-class capabilities of Cisco IOS-XR Software to the Carrier Ethernet edge. The distributed forwarding architecture allows line cards to support independent forwarding for enhanced performance.
With 230Gbps bidirectional switching capacity per RSP, the A99-RSP-TR is built to deliver the high scalability, performance and fast convergence required for demanding video, cloud and mobile services. It provides an efficient congestion management mechanism to avoid problems related to head-of-line blocking.
