A99-4T-FC Overview
The Cisco ASR 9900 Series 5th Generation 10-Port 400 Gigabit Ethernet Line Card delivers industry-leading high density, with line-rate 400 Gigabit Ethernet ports, to any slot of a Cisco ASR 9900 Series Aggregation Services Router. The Cisco A99-4T-FC high-capacity line card is designed to remove bandwidth bottlenecks caused by the exponential growth in video traffic and cloud services.
With 400 Gbps throughput per port, the Cisco A99-4T-FC can replace multiple 100 Gbps links for simplified operations. It supports 400GbE, 100GbE, 40GbE, 25GbE, and 10GbE modes on the same card using QSFP-DD pluggables, providing flexibility to mix and match interface types. Configuration of different modes is easy through the CLI without resetting the card.
The A99-4T-FC comes in service-edge and packet-transport optimized variants. It enables power savings by letting unused slices be put in power-saving mode. Overall, the card provides the infrastructure for scalable, high-density Carrier Ethernet and IP/MPLS networks.
