The Cisco 8812-FC is the switch fabric card for the Cisco 8812 chassis. It provides the high bandwidth switching capacity required to interconnect the line cards installed in the chassis. The 8812-FC uses Cisco Silicon One Q100 ASICs to deliver up to 345.6 Tbps of switching capacity when the chassis is fully loaded.
The Cisco 8812-FC chassis supports up to 12 line cards. It utilizes 8 fabric cards in a 7+1 redundant configuration to supply sufficient bandwidth for all ports on the line cards to forward traffic at line rate speeds concurrently. The fabric cards are hot swappable and redundant to ensure maximum uptime.
